CTW is an independent, amateur company that runs The Old Court Theatre as a non-profit making charitable organisation.
We therefore not only need actors and directors, but also; technicians, set builders, bartenders, box office staff and so forth.
All the people the audience sees working at the theatre are there in a voluntary capacity - as are all the people beavering away behind the scenes whom the audience never get to see at all.
If you are interested in the technical aspects of theatre or just keen to help us out then we will be happy to have you as a member of our group. We also need people who are good at the fine and plastic arts to help with posters and props.
The process for getting involved as a non-performer is very similar to getting involved as an actor. Your first port of call should be to turn up to an audition date and speak to one of our directors. At the auditions the director will be on the lookout for potential lighting designers, sound operators, wardrobe assistants and so forth. If you make your own area of interest clear then most directors will be happy to take you on, or you could assist and learn from one of our more experienced members.
