NOTESThe first CTW play to use YouTube for advertising purposes. The ads in question can be seen by following these links; This was a tense two-hander dealing with the relationship between a pompous university lecturer and his self-righteous female student. It is a story told in three scenes occurring over a few weeks – all the scenes happened in the lecturer’s office. Audiences found their view of both characters changed during the course of the play as an accusation of sexual harassment is made and audience members had to decide who to back. A tense third scene provided a fitting climax as both the accusations and the response they provoked reached new heights and the audience were left wondering whether they chose their allegiances wisely. This was a play for anyone involved in education, women’s rights or anyone with an opinion on how political correctness has impacted on workplace relationships. It was also a great night of electrifying high drama. The role of John has previously been played by actors such as David Suchet and William H. Macy. The role of Carol has been played by Cate Blanchett and Debra Eisenstadt.
